Job Description Summary The EHS Specialist will provide support and leadership for Plant 1 (part of Lynn Component Manufacturing) comprising of 2 buildings onsite. This role communicates and leads business goals, programs, and processes related to Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
  • Develop new Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) programs as required
  • Lead the validation of health, safety and environmental Frameworks to ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Drive improvements in site EHS culture, awareness, and accountability
  • Embrace and utilize Lean methodology to drive sustainable EHS improvements
  • Lead efforts to operationalize EHS at site
  • Ensure site personnel understand and comply with all environmental permits
  • Plan and conduct EHS training
  • Oversee compliance assurance program, perform site audits, and lead efforts with management team to implement corrective actions
  • Conduct incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans
  • Maintain EHS expertise to provide technical and regulatory support to Operations team
  • Maintain site EHS metrics and work cooperatively with EHS HQ on various projects and initiatives, including GHG reduction, sustainability, and culture change
  • Complete Six Sigma projects to reduce defects and cost
  • Act as primary liaison with regulatory agencies concerning all EHS issues
  • Understand regulatory changes and trends and forecast site impacts
  • Actively contribute to the direction and content of site EHS programs

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • 3 years experience in Manufacturing and / or Environmental, Health and Safety
