Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
  • Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
  • Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
  • Manage claims - includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, and purchasing activities
  • Manage deliveries and WIP Health for a limited amount of suppliers
  • Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level
  • Maintain knowledge of current market conditions, pricing and sources of supply
  • Adhere to GE Aviation compliance, quality, cost, and delivery requirements
  • Collaborate with team members and various functions to execute source changes and coordinate raw material
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive cost, delivery, quality, and supplier development
  • Leverage technical depth in forgings to drive critical business metrics


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing or Materials)
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations


Desired Characteristics
  • trong technical background in forgings and/or forging quality.
  • Experience in contract negotiation
  • Experience in Supplier Delivery & Supplier Management
  • Manufacturing or Shop Operations experience
  • Ability to analyze data and perform pricing analysis
  • Experience with strategic sourcing of new suppliers / vendors
  • Ability to utilize Excel for data analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
