Job Description Summary The Services Engineering organization is developing and executing strategic growth opportunities in the aftermarket for the Electrical Power business. This role as Services Advanced Lead Engineer will coordinate all services activities at the site and lead strategic projects to improve margin, reduce turn-around-time and develop new service offerings. The role is multi-faceted from collaborating cross-functionally on the strategic projects to working hands-on to improve flow in the repairs department.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies to expand services revenue for the product portfolio
  • Prioritize and lead engineering projects and collaborate on lean events to improve shop turn-around times and margin
  • Develop concepts for improved product reliability
  • Create the value proposition for GE & the customer for service offerings through data analyses
  • Lead and support proposal & development of service offerings
  • Develop and execute strategies around test equipment, material obsolescence and warranty recovery
  • Support repair/troubleshooting procedures and repair shop technical support

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering - Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, 1 year leading projects with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
  • Green Belt certified
