Job Description Summary The Turbine Airfoils Quality Leader will be accountable for quality across multiple site locations. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within the functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will manage and develop a team of quality professionals, stimulate sharing of knowledge, and develop and deliver training.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
The Turbine Airfoils Quality Leader will:
  • Provide overall quality leadership for the value stream
  • Partner with the value stream and quality leadership teams to define and execute the business strategy
  • Provide leadership and direction to the quality resources in executing the quality strategy for improvement in customer satisfaction, process capability, and quality
  • Assure that Value Stream activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements
  • Teach, train, coach, and mentor site quality leaders in the implementation of quality system and processes
  • Improve customer satisfaction and reduce process variation through application of Lean Six Sigma tools and tactics
  • Seek, share, and institutionalize best practices


Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality, operational, and/or technical experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of the regulatory requirements in the aviation industry
  • Experience working with regulators
  • Demonstrated change agent with strong credibility and influence in the organization
  • Ability to motivate others and achieve results
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skill
  • Demonstrated statistical skills, including a familiarity with Six Sigma quality concepts and tools
  • Demonstrated understanding of the use of quality tools like PSR, 5 Why, Pareto Analysis, 6M analysis, and QRCM methodologies
  • Demonstrated commitment for process improvement
  • Customer-focused in defining and establishing priorities
  • Ability to deliver effective presentations and educate at all levels of the organization
