Job Description Summary The Process Specialist / Process Engineer performs engineering associated with the manufacturing process. In this role you will make a lasting impact on the operations of the plant by enabling manufacturing uptime, cost reduction, and increased product quality. Your contributions will range from manufacturing support to new production introduction and new process development.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Practical analytical problem solving skills
  • Provide tooling and equipment support for production areas
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods and technical documentation
  • Drive efforts to support and meet production schedules, including productivity, quality and Six Sigma initiatives
  • Take responsibility for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes including safety, quality, Lean and six-sigma development in assigned areas
  • Utilize Lean principles and participate in action workouts to improve product cost, throughput and quality
  • Display a dedicated, team-oriented work ethic with personal ownership while having a goal-focused mindset
  • Possess a strong desire to grow and learn new manufacturing processes and possess ability to know when to seek help
  • Have flexibility in hours/shift of work; ability to flex schedule for training and/or shop coverage needs


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree (or HS diploma / GED with an additional 4 years manufacturing experience)
  • Ability to work off-shift role: Tuesday-Friday 9pm-7am


Desired Characteristics
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Advanced experience with CNC (EDM drill/sinker process, Laser Ablation processes, Creep Feed Grind) including CNC technician set up experience
  • CMM Programming experience
  • Prior process / manufacturing knowledge of Airfoils and Aviation High Pressure Turbine blade manufacturing
  • Hands-on shop floor experience with experience providing technical direction
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills
