Job Description Summary In the role of NDT Inspection, you'll work collaboratively on the Blisk team to help produce and inspect bladed disk parts using Magnetic Particle Testing NDT processes for various engines lines. As the top Blisk manufacturer in GE, we focus on quality, delivery, and cost by driving lean execution and continuous improvement. This position will be on 3rd shift and the hours will be 10:53pm - 6:53am

Job Description Essential Responsibilities
As part of the NDT Inspection position, you will:
  • Set-up and operate non-destructive inspection-related tools/equipment using Magnetic Particle Inspection processes
  • Perform prescribed NDT inspection techniques and processes to detect part compliance issues
  • Interpret mechanical blueprints, sketches, engineering specifications and drawings, etc., to determine set ups and operations necessary to complete job tasks
  • Perform basic mathematical calculations as necessary
  • Maintain detailed job task documentation, reports, and records


Qualifications/Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED with a minimum of 1 year of experience in a technically related field (i.e., manufacturing, fabrication, inspection, or mechanical engineering); Or
  • Bachelor's degree, Associate degree or Technical Certificate from an accredited university or college in a technically related field (i.e., manufacturing, fabrication, inspection, or mechanical engineering)


Desired Characteristics
  • Previous NDT Inspection processing experience
  • Previous Magnetic Particle Testing (MAG) experience preferred
  • Experience in the set-up and operation of inspection tools and equipment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, drawings, engineering specifications, etc.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma fundamentals
  • Familiarity with EH&S processes and procedures
  • Highly motivated, passionate, and with exceptional communications skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe work practices on a continuous improvement team
