Job Description Summary The Product Definition Advanced Engineer will work as an individual contributor and will report to the Evendale site Engineering Manager and be responsible for creating models and drawings for jet engine hardware.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities

As the Product Definition Engineer, you will:
  • Create 3D CAD models and 2D Engineering Drawings for individual parts and assemblies for jet engines
  • Perform complex level tolerance stack-ups to meet assembly requirements
  • Engage with manufacturing to perform producibility reviews
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to incorporate concepts to meet design intent
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in engineering or other technical positions)
  • 3 years of experience with CAD models and/or drawings
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience using NX (Siemens) software
  • Expert user of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Highly motivated and passionate
  • Self-starter with problem solving skills
  • Keen listener with exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to lead small teams
This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
