Lead Manufacturing Specialist - Production Quality

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and coordinate all quality assurance functions for assigned Peebles product lines
- Drive improvement of internal metrics and take actions necessary in the shop to improve product quality
- Responsible for the test data quality and assembly quality of assigned product lines
- Plan and coordinate the activities to address customer complaints and follow through with effective corrective actions
- Trend and track DPU data
- Audit planning and procedures to assure compliance to GE policies
- Support regulatory compliance and optimization of quality systems procedures relating to product conformity
- Develop and implement quality metrics to drive manufacturing improvements and business results
- Plan and supervise actions aimed at improving product quality and reliability
- Contact customers and suppliers when necessary to confer on specific quality issues
- Ensure a means of collecting and distributing compiled information in order to improve quality and customer satisfaction
- Responsible for the administration of the quality system, including implementation and maintenance to regulatory requirements and standards such as applicable ISO standards
- Ensure safe practices are used in compliance with all governmental regulations
- Identify, drive, mentor, and implement projects that improve overall production quality
- Work with Six Sigma Quality team to drive process changes
- Conduct quality processes training as needed. Drive Lean effort within manufacturing focusing on quality
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- PR Certification Experience in a shop environment
- Six Sigma Certification Ability to drive change
- Strong organizational, analytic, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and mentor non-exempt technicians
- Strong working knowledge of Manufacturing, Test, and Quality operations
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
