Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of supplier panels
- Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers
- Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement
- Manage claims, and provide commercial sourcing management, data analysis and negotiations support
- Define and improve Sourcing strategies at business or plant level
- Knowledge of current market conditions, pricing and sources of supply
- Adhere to GE Aviation compliance, quality, cost, and delivery requirements
- Collaborate with team members and various functions to execute source changes and coordinate raw material
- Actively participate in large scale negotiations
- Work cross-functionally with engineering and manufacturing teams to drive cost, delivery, quality, and supplier development
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or institution (or a high school diploma/GED and a minimum of 4 years experience in Manufacturing, Sourcing or Materials)
- A minimum of 3 years experience in Manufacturing, Quality, Materials, Sourcing or Supply Chain Operations
Desired Characteristics
- Experience in contract negotiation
- Experience in Supplier Delivery & Supplier Managemen
- Manufacturing or Shop Operations experience
- Ability to analyze data and perform pricing analysis
- Experience with strategic sourcing of new suppliers / vendors
- Ability to utilize Excel for data analysis
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
