Job Description
As a Lead Systems Engineer - Requirements Specialist you will be actively supporting various projects, reporting to a line manager who will work with you for Continuous Professional Development. You will be working also on engineering-wide improvements initiatives, helping us grow our requirements capability to satisfy emerging business opportunities in both the civil and military aviation sector.
Essential Responsibilities
- Working with projects to enable successful requirements development strategies and plans
- Supporting projects in capturing, understanding and documenting customer's requirements
- Supporting requirements lifecycle in DOORS including requirements creation, trace, maintenance, tools development, generation of reports and health check assessments
- Leading requirements improvement activities across the engineering functions
- Supporting requirements management tools upgrades (DOORS Next Generation), developing related processes and methodologies
- Supporting development of product line requirements related strategies
- Coaching and training the engineering community on current and future requirements capability
- Creating and maintaining common metrics to track projects requirements status
- Creating model-based architectures and designs using state-of-the-art computer aided engineering tools
Qualifications/Requirements
- An appropriate degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, similar subject, or equivalent experience
- Experience of the systems and SW development lifecycle within aerospace or a similar safety critical industry
- Experience with DOORS requirements management tool and DOORS Extension Language (DXL) scripting
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Rational Team Concert (RTC)
- An understanding of embedded software and / or hardware engineering
- Excellent leadership and communication skills

- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, languages and methods
