Job Description Summary Provide direction and assistance in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role, you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective scheduling and implementation of multiple programs based on the shop environment to ensure sufficient inventory levels and timely shipments to all customers
  • Monitor supply and demand misalignment and collaborate with manufacturing sources to implement corrective action plans
  • Coordinate with shop management to develop manufacturing delivery priorities, weekly/daily production goals, and effectively track progress
  • Utilize and update ERP to execute planner functionalities
  • Identify and highlight bottlenecks, parts shortages, unplanned downtime/OEE constraints, manpower capacity, equipment capacity, and other problem areas that inhibit full schedule realization and participate in mitigation efforts
  • Interface with operations management, engineering, and other GE organizations as required
  • Analyze data to determine opportunities to decrease inventory, improve customer service levels and reduce total costs


Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum one year of experience in utilizing planning systems (Oracle ERP or other purchasing and planning systems)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in a Material Planning capacity
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and establish effective work priorities
  • Prior experience in production control or planning, supervision, sourcing or material control environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively with operators and implement changes in manufacturing processes
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
