Role Summary:
You will be responsible for managing the Design Assurance System and Quality Management System within the GE Aviation Czech (GEAC) Design Organization to achieve set goals and objectives. Engineering Quality Manager (Chief of Independent System Monitoring in terms of Part 21, Subpart J) will be responsible for fulfilling all the specific requirements related to this role as Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012, Part 21, Subpart J.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manages the Engineering Quality Process within GEAC Organization.

- Interface between the Design Organization and the Quality Organization, supporting the Engineering managers with all related Actions
- Reporting information related to the GEAC Design Assurance performance to the Head of Design Organization (findings closure, efforts, culture, etc.)

- Supports Engineering managers as process owners in defining working processes
- Schedule and execute the internal audits within the Design Organization to ensure compliance with all internal and regulatory requirements

- Supporting audit finding owners in the analysis of the root cause and of the issues observed
- Supporting audit finding owners in defining corrective actions
- Supporting process owners in verifying the effectiveness of the corrective actions

- Managing the process of Engineering Control of Design suppliers, preparing DOIDs and other documents
- Support the Head of Airworthiness with EASA DOA Audits
- Support the Head of Airworthiness by regular reporting the findings status to EASA
- Regular Audit of Design Organization Handbook revisions.
- Audits the engines configurations.
- Checks selected Engineering deliverables (published approved documents).

- Act as a change agent driving towards a \"Lean" operation and ensure quality procedures are being followed through audits of procedures

- Support all elements of the engineering quality management system and drive
overall quality culture in all aspects of Design Organization through the awareness,
effectiveness and accessibility of the QMS

Train the personnel about the required regulatory requirements and about the requirements
described in internal procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
· Proven professional work experience in Quality
· At least some additional years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, sourcing or operations
· Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements coming from Commission Regulation (EU) No 748/2012 (EASA Part 21)
· Experience working as part of or with an EASA Design Organization.
· Knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma tools and evidence of their application to solve complex problems
· Knowledge of quality assurance requirements
· PC proficiency
· Communicative knowledge of English is a must
· Ability to evaluate the impact of actions on the business and our customers
· Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
· Ability to work a flexible schedule coincidental with manufacturing functions and global suppliers
