Role Summary:
The Lead Engineer demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals / programs / processes for area of RCS (radar-cross section) measurement technologies. Participate in AME (Advanced Military Engineering) teams. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and can affect short-term and some long-term business goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Execute the Electromagnetic test activities required to define and support the assigned Special Military Products Inlet / Exhaust components / systems that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirement
  • Provide RCS Testing technical leadership to personnel / cross functional teams supporting the assigned Project
  • Develop and implement RCS test plans to meet technical requirements of assigned components and Systems
  • Develop action plans with guidance to respond to RCS test related issues / problems
  • Lead or participate on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives and generic issues
  • Recommend, with guidance, the approach to meet the technical and program requirements
  • Participate and present or review in technical and program reviews
  • Assure proper documentation of measured RCS technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Lead supplier engineering teams through NPI component development, problem troubleshooting and cost / weight reduction efforts
  • Provide technical and process leadership to less experienced team members on RCS Design and Measurement team

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Engineering)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an Engineering position
    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT(S):
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearance


Desired Characteristics:
  • BS / MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or college (Or a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in an RCS engineering position)
  • Experience in the field of RCS measurements in a compact range facility
  • Experience in RCS measurement of inlet / exhaust system type components and materials
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to organize, motivate, guide and influence technical personnel and projects
  • Knowledge and expert understanding of radars, model manufacturing, and materials applications
  • Knowledge of measurements data collection software and post processing codes
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
