Role Summary:

You will negotiate with dedicated providers according to policies to achieve the best contractual conditions while also ensuring customer satisfaction. Communication expertise, as well as the ability to negotiate, is a critical success factor. In addition, organizational and time management skills are vital.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Build relationships, organize and moderate regular meetings and lead commercial negotiations with suppliers
  • Take responsibility for the commercial performance of the suppliers within the commodities
  • Monitor and report metrics linked to supplier performance (quality, commercial)
  • Implement general agreements, terms and conditions in close collaboration with internal partners
  • Build and apply the strategy for the relevant commodities in close partnership with Product Line Sourcing
  • Prepare and apply regular (global) benchmarks, market analyses and sourcing decisions under Total Costs of Ownership aspects
  • Pool demands and approve purchase orders
  • Lead ideas and initiatives in order to improve the supplier's performance
  • Collaborate with other functions within the company in defining standardized components

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master degree or Engineering degree with commercial interest or bring equivalent knowledge and experience
  • You've gained several years of experience in automotive/ machinery industries and in the purchasing field (mechanical, electro-mechanical, electronic, raw material)
  • Proficient and fluent German and English language skills
