Role Summary:
The Senior Finance Manufacturing Controller role will provide critical finance and operational leadership, analysis, support & expertise for Avio Aero production of Pomigliano D'Arco Plant. The focus will be to ensure all critical production/financials KPIs are met and to provide strategic insights for investment decisions, footprint considerations, cost out/product costing initiatives, etc.
Essential Responsibilities:
The role reports into the Executive Supply Chain Finance Leader and supports directly the Site Plants Leader and his/her team.
The role will cover key aspects of production cost composition and all relevant metrics, both financial & operational (Hourly rate, Capex , Routings Productivity, Delivery, Delinquency/On Time Delivery, Inventory, etc) and includes direct involvement, engagement & responsibility over setting the appropriate routines, procedures and control points aimed to deliver to company commitments.
Some of the key tasks/activities, will include:
  • Establish clear timing/processes/reviews with relevant owners, supporting Ops team and Business leaders on data visibility, tracking, analysis (variance analysis) and reporting for OCPH (Hourly rate) /Cost Out (product costing) results
  • Ensure proper level of analytics are established and maintained, also utilizing newer functionalities and data visibility coming from implementation of digital tool
  • Provide critical look and assessment, in conjunction with Ops team/Cost out team, of the overall Cost-out performance
  • Support daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly process for relevant Business reviews and key planning cycles (Monthly & Quarterly Closing, Budget, Forecast, 5 years plan, etc.) for actuals, estimates and reporting and present, on a routine basis, results to company Executive Mgmt
  • Establish key relationships with Avio Aero and Aviation HQ teams to ensure appropriate and timely flow of information as requested
  • Liaise, together with Avio Aero ops team, with PM & business leaders as necessary
  • Ensure proper level of analytics are established and maintained, also utilizing newer functionalities and data visibility coming from implementation of digital tool
  • Play a strategic partnership role, with Product Strategy team and Product development team, for developing longer term initiatives/efforts, also (but not only) linked to Capex optimization and cost rationalization
  • Driving profitable growth by providing analysis of results and reporting key metrics while advising the leadership team on risks and opportunities, as well as recommending actions
  • Lead cross-functional projects to drive simplification throughout the organization and to improve rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs improving profitability
  • Contribute to improving efficiencies and performance as well as providing quality financial information (Variable & Base Cost productivity)

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Economics
  • Strong experience in manufacturing finance with progressive responsibility
  • Italian and English Fluency
  • Strong industrial knowledge, coupled with key expertise in supply chain cost accounting & controllership processes preferred
  • High Proficiency in computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with expertise on SAP
  • EU work permit

Desired Characteristics:
  • GE experience preferred (CAS grads, FMP/EFLP)
  • Self-confident ... able to integrate and operate well in different cultural/business environment, at different level
  • Strong industrial knowledge, coupled with key expertise in supply chain cost accounting & controllership processes
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and to prioritize under pressure
  • Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Proven experience in the Aviation industry with progressive responsibility
