Role Summary:
In this role, you will provide design engineering leadership for cooled and uncooled low pressure turbine (LPT) airfoils for GE's Large Military product line. You will utilize multiple skillsets including analysis, product definition, and design for producibility to not only support the existing fleet, but to stand up new manufacturing lines for out of production hardware.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the design hardware owner for assigned turbine airfoils
  • Work closely with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Programs, Sourcing and Quality
  • Accountable for all technical aspects of any component CIP and company funded programs
  • Responsible for lifecycle management plans and executing cost-out / producibility projects

In leading these projects, you will:
  • Drive both cost and schedule, as well as formulating and implementing plans to achieve all commitments
  • Own and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments
  • Execute with limited guidance the analysis / evaluation of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures and the product / program requirements
  • Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to challenges


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant Engineering position

  • Experience with turbine airfoils
  • Experience with manufacturing shops
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues in a succinct manner

  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical skills
