Greater London, England
easyJet flies more of Europe's most popular routes than any other airline and carries more than 100 million passengers annually. We fly over 334 aircraft on 1061 routes to 159 airports across 36 countries.
The airline takes sustainability seriously and is the first major airline to operate net-zero carbon flights across its whole network. The airline is achieving this goal by offsetting the carbon emissions from the fuel used for all of its flights. This means since 2000 easyJet has reduced the carbon emissions for each kilometre flown by a passenger by over one-third (33.67%) and is on track to meet its target of a 38% reduction by 2022.
The airline was recently named as Britain's Most Admired Company of 2019 in the transport sector.
What`s the role?
We`re looking for a passionate and talented Network Planning Analyst to join our Network Development team and help us support the delivery of easyJet's growth across the network.
The Network Planning Analyst (NPA) sits in the Network Development team, within the wider Network Team. The wider team's responsibility is the deployment of capacity across the network within a time horizon of 6 months to 5 years from operation. It translates the vision set out by the Strategy team into an allocation of aircraft by base, and downstream into route selection by route managers. This represents the single biggest decision to impact easyJet's profitability.
The Network Development team is responsible for defining the shape of easyJet's network to deliver sustainable profitability and the company strategy. The team takes a horizontal view across easyJet's footprint of bases to balance the investment of capacity between markets, against different competitors, and across distinct flows.
The Network Planning Analyst reports to the Network Development Manager and is an analysis and coordination role that supports the delivery of easyJet's growth across the network.
As part of the Commercial Planning Process, the role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of new routes, including assessing opportunities, coordinating implementation, and ensuring timely and clear communication to all stakeholders.
The role takes a horizontal view on growth (as opposed to for each individual base) to ensure alignment with easyJet's commercial priorities and with the Network Plan.
It is a great platform for personal development within the Network team due to a very dynamic environment with numerous career progression opportunities.
You`ll put your skills to excellent use here and deliver vital analytical support to help define the shape of easyJet's network. You'll develop and maintain a unified knowledge repository and associated analytical tools to allow the department to have reliable access to robust data for strategic planning, seasonal planning and tactical work. You`ll be responsible for coordinating the delivery of new routes, including assessing opportunities, coordinating implementation, while maintaining strong stakeholder relations.
In addition, you'll maintain an up-to-date New Route Assessment tool and database; you`ll support the team in making new-route recommendations to the Head of Network by running the financial assessment for new route suggestions and lead analysis of key competitor threats and opportunities.
