Beside the duty of defining technical solutions to maintain the aircraft interior towards standards and reliability targets, the role includes:
  • Responsible for the aircraft interior as per EASA Part M
  • Support the maintenance organization with technical data towards in-service findings as per EASA Part 145
  • Assessment of modifications to aircraft interior and related components and systems
  • Define technical solutions, perform cost benefit analysis and work out implementation plans.
  • Develop inspection programs and repair solutions in close co-operation with manufacturer, maintenance and repair organizations
  • Identify technical potentials to reduce operational and maintenance cost
  • Analyse the root cause of defects, provide recommendations and perform operational risk evaluations
  • Support the Swiss Quality department and Office of Airworthiness for investigations and root cause analysis

  • Academic education (or equivalent) in Aeronautical / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Proven practice in airframe maintenance for commercial aircraft, preferably Airbus
  • Deep knowledge of NAA (FOCA) and EASA regulation (145, M, 21)
  • Minimum of 5 years in aviation maintenance
  • Project Management Skills
  • Analytical and systematic skills including economic basis for cost/benefit analysis
  • Team player with active and clear communication skills
  • Familiar with Maintenance Information Systems, preferably AMOS
  • Qualified as a Design Engineer or higher as per EASA Part 21 is appreciated
  • Practical know how in overhaul process and standards
  • Self-management, decision management skills and efficient work load management
  • Fluency in written and spoken German as well as English
