Greater London, England

Description:

COMPANY

We may be facing the biggest challenge in our history, but we are confident that throughout the pandemic we have taken the right action to build back stronger and better - and we want you to play a part in that and #belongherewithus.

Different perspectives and experiences add value to the way we do business. Giving a 'warm welcome for everyone' is at the heart of what we do every day regardless of gender identity and expression, race, disability, age, sexual and/ or romantic orientation, religion, and nationality; because it's clear to us that our people set us apart.

We have also been named as Britain's Most Admired Company of 2020 in the transport sector, retaining the leading position for a second year running. We support. We empower. We excite. And we do it our way. We're uniquely different. We're easyJet.

JOB PURPOSE

As an easyJet Aircraft Cabin Interior Engineer you will be responsible for the compilation of modifications in accordance with easyJet's Design Organisation Terms of Approval in support of the easyJet single aisle Airbus fleet.

Working closely with the Part 21 compliance engineers and Part CAMO fleet engineers, your primary function is to support key projects throughout the engineering department and the wider business, demonstrating compliance with UK CAA Part 21 regulatory requirements and the procedures defined within the company's Design Organisation Handbook. You will be responsible for managing Part 21 projects from initial concept to final embodiment by generating data packages to include compilation of design drawings, engineering reports, compliance statements and accomplishment instructions.

To support this function the successful candidate will show a good understanding of Part 21 regulatory requirements and be competent in AutoCAD/Microsoft Office/SharePoint/Adobe. Experience using engineering tool AMOS is beneficial but not essential.

In addition to this role, you will be working cross-functionally with the wider easyJet Engineering community such as the Fleet Transitions, Fleet Technical Management, Powerplant, Planning & Logistics teams, as well as the leasing companies, type-certificate holder / OEMs and 3rd party MROs to support of the easyJet operation.

We are committed to easyJet's Safety Policy and will look to you to perform investigations into Safety Reports, identifying root cause and contributing factors, performing an overall analysis of the incident and your recommendations for remedial and preventative actions.

The Fleet Reliability Engineering team will also call on your support to perform investigations into technical issues adversely affecting easyJet's On Time Performance, reporting back in a concise and timely manner with suggested corrective actions.

You'll have the opportunity for personal development through classroom and on-the-job training and will be encouraged to acquire new skills by participation in lean initiatives, pioneering and breakthrough projects; an exciting way to liaise within Engineering as well as other areas of the business.

With such a comprehensive skill base within this key Engineering function, you will actively steer easyJet to achieve an important part of 'Our Plan' to seamlessly connect Europe with the warmest welcome in the sky.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensuring all minor modifications required by the operation are completed within a timely manner.
  • Key focal point for any third-party DOA activity to support the operation.
  • Whilst working under easyJet's Design Organisation Approval you will comply with the requirements of easyJet's Design Organisation Handbook and Design Organisation Procedures.
  • Liaison and correspondence with Type Certificate Holders, Supplemental Type Certificate Holders and third-party Design Organisations on technical and commercial issues.
  • Provide support to the Fleet Engineering Part CAMO function.
