TEAM

EasyJet is looking to take its Vetting and ID checking service to a new level. By carrying out the end-to-end ID validation inhouse we can ensure a focus on delivering a timely and great experience for Candidates and Employees (our customers) alike. The Vetting and ID Team are responsible for the ID issue activities for all M&A, cabin crew and pilots as well as the many contractors requiring access to easyJet managed property. This includes supporting the delivery of appropriate Vetting and ID for new hires, current staff and internal movers to maintain a verified five-year background that allows them to carry out their roles with the appropriate easyJet and relevant airport airside ID. This team are the control behind all access to easyJet's buildings and play a vital role in the defence against insider threat.

Job Purpose
  • Reporting to the Vetting and ID Team Leader, this role is responsible for ensuring that all new hires, existing employee renewals and internal transfers are quickly, accurately and thoroughly screened in line with requirements for their role with easyJet
  • The Vetting and ID Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all easyJet, Airport Authority and Department for Transport compliance requirements and policies are met
  • To provide great customer service by being a supportive point of contact for the Employee, Candidate, their Referees or any authority needed help during the Vetting and ID process
  • To support the Vetting and ID Team leadership in identifying improvements in the Vetting and ID Process
  • To help the team maintain consistently high levels of service and compliance through Quality Control activity


Accountabilities
  • Screen candidates correctly and compliantly in advance of their course or start date meeting all ID vetting and issuing processes to ensure employees are compliant with easyJet's Group Vetting Policy, Department for Transport and local airport authorities regulations
  • Chase outstanding references and information and close out any discrepancies and gaps
  • Support colleagues or Third Parties with any questions they may have or guidance they need
  • Ensure Airside passes are quickly arranged and that the hires are able to start their roles
  • Communicating with candidates and their referees
  • Being the first point of contact for the candidate and their referees. Maintaining communication including calls to ensure speedy information gathering
  • Recommending options where someone doesn't meet the referencing requirements
  • Reporting on workstack progress as required
  • Upload necessary information to the Airports, using the correct latest templates, and ensure Airside ID is processed quickly and effectively
  • Understanding of and compliance with vetting standards to ensure references are included, correct and manage any issues with ID Vetting and Compliance Manager
  • Collect all required identification and right to work information and verify identity
  • Contributes to the management of Airport ID Centre rejections for full cycle continuous improvement by the wider team
  • Updates the pro watch database as required
  • As part of Quality Control, checks peers' files, whether handled within easyJet or by Third Parties, to ensure they meet the stringent requirements for referencing checks
  • Filing completed packs in the appropriate digital and physical formats
