- Plan, install, maintain and rebuild Linux servers by operational and project requirements.
- Analyze and solve complex issues with Linux and applications running on Linux
- Improve and extend our infrastructure as a code environment
- Maintain secure, reliable and available IT Infrastructure
- Monitor, control and optimize servers
- Standardize, automate and establish best practices for Linux installation and management
- Help ensure Backup and Disaster Recovery
- Maintain and enhance up to date documentation
- Interface with suppliers

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering or equivalent experience
- Linux System Administration and automation skills and experience
- Knowledge of Virtualization (VMware) and LAN
- Experience with shell scripting or equivalent
- Familiarity with administration, tuning, and system monitoring
- Familiarity with Backup/Restore procedures and disaster recovery planning
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Organization, communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Able to balance standardization with the flexibility to fulfil customer needs
Desirable
- 3+ years with CentOS / RedHat Linux
- Knowledge in the area of infrastructure as code (Puppet and Terraform)
- Ability to implement CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab and Jenkins)
- Experience with containerized applications (Openshift and Docker)
- Any additional language, in particular German, is an asset
- Experience in an Agile IT Ops environment
- ITIL Foundation certification
