Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be a champion of Continuous Improvement and guide the Value Stream Lean Leaders in all aspects of operational and business process improvement
- Act as a trusted advisor to Plant Leaders within the Value Stream on Lean
- Support Continuous Improvement aspects of the Growth Playbook and policy deployment and ensure that specific goals and priorities are achieved throughout the Value Stream
- Present product / program strategies, Lean roadmaps, risks, and recommendations to senior leaders across the Value Stream
- Train the Value Stream in the concepts, tools, and application of process improvement, Lean Six Sigma, value stream mapping, one-piece flow, Action Workouts, Kaizen, 5s, Hoshin Kanri, and other Lean tools
- Ensure Lean Academies are conducted in each the Value Stream
- Identify training deficiencies and work with Plant Lean Leaders to help develop a plan to stand up a strengthened Lean organization across the business
- Prepare for, participate in, and follow up on action items from OMRs
- Share best practices from the central LEAN team with the Value Streams to ensure standardization of Continuous Improvement processes (and vice versa)
- Drive Lean activities at a global or local level including methods, tools, roadmap systems, collaboration, and deployment
- Manage industrial improvement projects including process improvement, green field, and localization of manufacturing activities e.g., Lean Academy action workouts
Minimum Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree accredited college or university + Minimum of 5 years in driving manufacturing process improvement experience
- OR a high school diploma / GED with at least 10 years of experience in driving manufacturing process improvement experience)
Desired Characteristics and Experience:
- Experience working in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment related to Automotive, Industrial, or Aerospace sectors
- Additional leadership experience in the areas of operations, manufacturing, or quality
- Big picture thinker that can thrive in a matrix environment
- Demonstrated ability to excel in all customer service areas
- Experience in a digital site environment
- Experience leading a Lean or Lean Six Sigma transformation
- Six Sigma Black Belt, Master Black Belt certification
