Legal, Regulatory, AML and Compliance consultancy
- Continuously scan the legal and regulatory landscape in APAC to identify risks to the AirPlus business model
- Provide support and advice to the central legal, regulatory, compliance and AML teams on contracting, regulation, and legislative matters
Data Protection Officer APAC
- Establish the Data Protection Officer Role in the APAC region
- Continuously review the APAC businesses processes and legal documentation to ensure compliance with local data protection regulations
Customer, Partner and vendor contracting
- Oversee customer, partner and vendor contracting for the APAC region. May require direct correspondence and/or face to face meetings
Business Consultancy
- Provide advice to the APAC leaders on legal and regulatory matters pertaining to expansion, acquisition and partnership strategies
- Support the General Counsel, Group DPO, Group Compliance/AML and APAC Directors on confidential legal regulatory and compliance matters where requested

Requirements
- Bachelors degree in law mandatory - (Singapore, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Germany or UK) - Masters in Law or secondary legal qualification preferred
- Minimum 7 years legal experience in commercial / payments / banking law across multiple jurisdictions
- Ability to understand both the regulatory and business requirements of the business
- Stakeholder management skills including diplomacy and ability to negotiate
- Ability to manage external law to provide quality advice within tight deadlines
- Data protection qualification in an APAC or EU jurisdiction preferred - Experience with EU und German Law preferred
