Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Total program ownership and the subject matter expert (SME) for all academic and practical line maintenance training activities of the assigned aviation avionics, electrical systems, and/or engine products
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of assigned products
- Partner with customers and internal organizations to understand and fulfill all line maintenance training needs including required courses, course content, customer training proposals, online learning content, digital training aids, etc.
- Develop, own and manage training material to ensure current with latest product and fleet programs
- Create an effective and engaging training experience for in-person and remote/virtual training ... including utilizing the latest technology to enhance the student experience
- Coordinate with engineering and human factors organizations to reduce customer disruptions, to field new programs, and to introduce design changes.
- Define and acquire program funding to support assigned programs
- New Product Introduction (NPI) focal for assigned programs
- Deliver training courses when required including at customer locations
- Manage purchase service contracts for assigned instructors
- Ensure student and employee health and safety aspects of assigned training programs, including managing assigned facility EH&S elements and tasks
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 3 years of experience in technical instruction, customer/product support, avionics, electrical systems or jet engine maintenance experience).
- A minimum of 3 years in a training, instructional, maintenance, customer fulfill ment or product management role
Desired Characteristics
- Curriculum development, instructional design, and instructional delivery experience in a technical training adult learning environment
- Ability to deliver complex technical messages in a simple context
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience in avionics and electrical engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing
- Basic understanding of electronic circuits
- Experience in jet engine maintenance
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
