As a Lead Verification Engineer in our Systems and Software team, you will be a senior member of the Systems Verification Engineering team responsible for testing and troubleshooting a new electrical power distribution system within our state of the art Electrical Power Integration Centre (EPIC). This role is key to the development of safety-critical software for the system. Alongside senior engineers, you will be mentored and coached into an engineer capable of owning packages of technical work required to deliver on both Safety of Flight and Certification verification activities over the next few years. You will be passionate about ensuring high-quality requirements, and relish architecting a design to meet those requirements that stand the test of time. You will have experience of verification & validation, and you will thrive on solving technical problems, in collaboration with other engineering functions.

Job Description The Role & Essential Responsibilities
Technical:
You will use your experience of the full design-to-release lifecycle to be a senior member of the team delivering the Systems Verification and Integration phases of a power distribution system. As such you will own and deliver the more complex tests and issues or larger packages of work. You will be joining a dynamic environment that enables every engineer to reach their potential as the team switches from design definition to design verification through to final delivery.
You will contribute to the development of a Lab environment suitable for troubleshooting and testing a new electrical power distribution system. If the test fails then you will apply your Systems Engineering knowledge to analyse the results and either update the test procedure or enable the software team to de-bug the software. You will design in modifications into the systems lab environment and perform hands-on systems testing to expand on your knowledge of test equipment and processes for working safely in high power environments.

Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous experience in team-based projects providing direction and coaching to less experienced staff.
- An appropriate degree or HND in Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics or similar subject, or equivalent experience shows a logical mindset, alongside good problem solving and solution building skills.
