Job Description Summary GE Aviation is seeking an Electrical Component Engineer to work on our Military Controls Team in Cincinnati, OH. The Engineer supports Controls/Electronic Hardware design, analysis, test and integration as part of a cross-functional design team in the development and certification of military jet engines. The ideal candidate has working knowledge in component selection, parts qualification and derating of Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical components used in military applications) applied to the controls/hardware system components and is able to use their expertise to resolve immediate issues and solve technical problems that impacts business goals.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers
  • Document and communicate results of technical data generated
  • Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives
  • Share engineering information and promote open dialogue
  • Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
  • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is desired


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
