Lead Specialist - Contract Management (REMOTE)

This position will involve working in support of commercial and US Government contracts (either as a prime contractor or subcontractor), and the position requires an understanding of both the Fixed Price and the Cost Reimbursement Groups as described in the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Non-legal contract experts act as primary interface between GE and customers on all contractual matters
- Provide contract administration for assigned proposals and contracts including regular interfacing with customers, leading negotiations, and assisting with contract interpretation
- Interface with Manufacturing, Program Management, Marketing, Engineering, and Legal
- Perform proposal, negotiation, and contract administration functions on assigned proposals / contracts with supervision
- Provide support to managers and senior contract personnel on assigned contracts
- Provide interface liaison with functional organizations and insure proper communication of contractual requirements
- Review processes to ensure overall efficiency
- Guide team through assessing solicitations identifying business and compliance risks
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
- Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial, government or international contract formation and execution.
- D omain expertise with commercial terms and conditions, Federal Acquisition Regulations, with emphasis in Parts 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items and 15 Contracting by Negotiation, and DoD FAR Supplement
- Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, and Word

- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid relationships with others in the pricing team, cost contributors, and management.
