Technical Support Engineer - Aviation

Tasks

In this role, your responsibilities and duties may include:

• Read and distill technical supporting documents and create internal Work Instructions for the various pieces of capital equipment in the Plating Shop.
• Use and development of the Plating shop infrastructure and documentation tool/programme ("filemaker), both in terms of data and functionality.
• Supporting the TPM and the current project team, use digital tools (Visio / CAD - Solid Works) to create technical drawings of both the facility, tooling and equipment used within the Plating shop.
• Using LEAN and Process improvement methodologies, development of improvement projects in the area od Surface Technologies.
• Support the TPM and wider project team with realization of projects. This will require technical, written, administrative and practical support.

*All other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

The ideal Technical Support Engineer must fulfill the following requirements:

• Educated to Bachelors of Engineering degree level - ideally within Mechanical discipline.
• Proven industry IT qualifications in programming and/or the use of CAD would be preferred.
• Use with various IT systems.
• Use of advanced excel functions including simple VBA programming.
• Programing logic and lanage required for some IT databases.
• Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets.
• Confident use of MS Office applications.
• Skilled communicator with abilities to interact with all levels of the organisation.
• Experience of LEAN / Continuous improvement and / or Project Management methodologies.
• Strong analytical skill set.
