The IT Service Continuity Manager reports into the easyJet Enterprise Service Manager as part of the IT Service Management team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the IT resilience capability of the organisation, aligns to Business Resilience requirements and to communicate the easyJet IT SCM policy & related processes to all appropriate stakeholders
- Oversee the implementation of the requirements of the easyJet IT SCM policy and related processes
- Ensure that easyJet IT SCM strategies and plans are in place and documented
- Establish the interfaces between IT SCM process and other processes, especially service level management, information security management, availability management and capacity management
- Ensuring that all IT SCM plans, risks, and activities underpin and align with all business continuity management plans, risks, and activities, and can meet the agreed and documented targets under any circumstances
- Define improvement plans and targets for the financial year
- Monitor achievement against agreed targets
- Establish a framework for continual service improvement for the easyJet ITSCM process and associated activities
- Chair and attend management review meetings as required
- Assign authorities and responsibilities for the implementation, management, and improvement of the easyJet ITSCM delivery and associated processes
- Integrate the easyJet IT SCM policy and processes with the Business Resilience/Crisis Management function
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and contractual requirements in the management of systems used to deliver business services
- Deputise for the IT Service Continuity Manager as required
- Assist in the performance of risk assessment and risk management, including the management of risks associated with the delivery of business-critical systems, to prevent disasters where cost-justifiable and where practical
- In association with easyJet Major Incident Management, quantify and monitor the types, volumes and impacts of disruptive major incidents
- Take ownership of and maintain the continual improvement action list for the easyJet ITSCM process
- Negotiating and managing contracts with providers of third-party recovery services
- Provide leadership, and coordinate technical resources during DR testing or invocation
- Plan and maintain the DR test schedule, and direct DR tests in accord with published test plans, run books and procedures
- If required form and lead a recovery team comprised of technical resources drawn from easyJet partners and service delivery personnel
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders and deliver effective DR training to internal and client staff. Ensure that staff are aware of their exact duties and that all relevant information is readily available should a disaster occur
