Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor

In this role, your responsibilities and duties may include:
  • Interacting with all departmental managers to ensure that LTLGS stay EHS compliant.
  • Controlling the completion of Risk Assessment and completing of Control of Substances Harmful to Health (COSHH) Assessments.
  • Accident reporting and investigation, including KPI reporting to Product Division.
  • Auditing to ISO14001 and 45001 to maintain LHT Group Approval.
  • To create EHS policies for the business in line with UK Law and LHT group requirements.
  • To deliver targets for health & safety implementation and compliance.
  • To develop and introduce Safety Team from cross functions of the business.
  • To assess new substances including set up and maintaining REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals) requirement.

The ideal Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor should meet the following requirements:
  • Educated to a degree level in Engineering/Chemistry or relevant
  • Or experience in similar role coupled with secondary education (A Levels) or BTECH/HNC desirable
  • NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent preferred
  • EHS background with knowledge of aviation desirable
  • Experience completing Risk Assessments, Audits and reviewing Material Safety Data Sheets
  • Have experience in working and developing teams
  • Ability to produce timely and accurate reports
  • Recognised Auditing qualification with experience in 14001 or 45001 preferred
  • Flexibility to travel
  • Would be required to spend regular hours within the production area
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages
