Job Description Summary The Senior Business Operations Leader will perform the daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line for Original Equipment (OE) and New Product Introduction (NPI). This includes aftermarket responsibility as well. This person will be involved in setting up the future for delivering Silicon Carbide (SiC) products.

In this role, you will have site level responsibility for the Pompano Beach, FL facility focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost at an operational level. This person will report into a business executive at our Bohemia, NY facility.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Will build strong relationships across organizational boundaries and help to create an inclusive and engaging work environment
  • Manage an overall production facility in order to reach defined targets in quality, cost, delivery and safety
  • Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards
  • Will have management responsibility of direct charging electronics manufacturing personnel, as well as dotted line support staff oversight for manufacturing engineering, materials, quality, etc.
  • Has awareness of latest technical developments in own area
  • Contributes towards strategy and policy development, and ensure delivery within area of responsibility
  • Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
  • Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering
  • Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations
  • May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements
  • Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience working within a Manufacturing & Plant Management environment
  • Ability to travel 5-10% (domestic)


Desired Characteristics
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressive leadership experience, including people management and managing in a matrixed environment
  • Six Sigma Green Belt knowledge or higher
  • Demonstrated success of driving shop floor organization and process efficiency through the use of Lean tools and processes
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
