Product Support Engineer F35 Batteries

Job Description Essential Responsibilities
- Provide through-life expertise and support for the EPMS 28V & 270V Battery, being the first point of contact for the end customer, Supplier and GE Long Island MRO site. (Note this will include, when needed face to face support)
- Maintain and analyse data (FRACAS) captured from the field and MRO site looking for trends and supporting best course of action for repairs.
- Leading investigations on failure modes seen within the field for BU's
- Manage and cultivate a strong working relationship with battery GE LI MRO facility, ensuring they are properly supported through technical issues and Test equipment
- Directing Field service engineers when needed to review/gather data direct from customers (Battery 2nd line maintenance)
- Accountable for the long-term strategy for transporting batteries by air for the PBL (Additional service for customer)
- Accountable for the long-term strategy for battery maintenance/support for EU and APAC.
- Creation of product briefings
- Technical presentations at technical review meetings
- Support the activities of the Safety Product Management Team
- Maintain and develop a detailed knowledge of current and future product development.
- Maintain a relationship with customer facing teams, sustaining and PBL teams
- Reliability trend analysis and corrective action planning
- Maintenance and approval of fielded technical documents including CMM/GEM's
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Qualified to degree level in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or demonstrated experience in the aerospace industry.
- A strong technical background with an understanding of F35 Battery products and support infrastructure with customer.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills.
- Continuous improvement & Results driven.
