Manufacturing & Tooling Project Engineer

Success in this role will be defined by your ability to problem solve with engineers and production teams as well as your ability to create drawings and models correctly and in timely manner. This role demands someone with a strong-continuous learning and LEAN mindset who enjoys working in an office environment as well as on a production shop floor alongside machine operators.
Job Description Essential Responsibilities
- Read, review, and interpret engineered drawings as well as create drawings and models within CAD platform.
- Review process specifically includes: stack up projections, GD&T, industry standard drawing methods, and overall tolerancing.
- Ability to work on multiple work requests simultaneously and efficiently communicate to cross functional departments.
- Oversee and maintain the standardization of files and outputs (as listed in Job Description).
- Ability to manage projects related to continuous improvement across site.
- Contribute new ideas and positive support to improve the state of current process
- Work within cross-functional teaming organization spanning production, quality, engineering, sourcing, etc.
- Assist in solving manufacturing quality issues using root cause analysis & implementing corrective actions
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in machining environment
- In depth knowledge of work holding systems, lifting device design, and fixture design.
- Experience with FEA (stress testing and load testing)
- Experience with software platforms: Siemens Nx (CAD), Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) testing and analysis for fixture designs.
- Familiarity with traditional turning and milling process.
- Familiarity with secondary manufacturing processes (surface grinding, bench grinding, and broaching).
- Previous experience within the aerospace manufacturing industry
- Works well independently and within cross-functional group settings
- Ability to influence and lead small teams
