Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for all accounting activities for the GEnx product line, including order management, revenue recognition, cost accounting, and close & reporting.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and GE GAP
- Manage and direct tasks of employees and contractors to perform certain accounting activities.
- Prepare and review standard and non-standard journal entries on a monthly basis.
- Execution of CEO's SOX controls, including acting as a focal for internal and external auditors.
- Responsibility for quarterly account reconciliations
- Strategic partnership with the CEO finance team ensuring timely preparation of financial statements.
- Support/execute simplification projects that deliver cost, speed, and quality benefit for the inventory process.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5 years experience in an Accounting or Finance role (or a HS diploma/GED with 8 years experience in an Accounting or Finance role)
Desired Qualifications
- CPA
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and present complex financial data
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Strong systems acumen
- Previous experience with Oracle and JD Edwards
- Excellent communication skills
