JOB PURPOSE
Working in a dynamic environment the SDET is responsible for software development and testing tasks, focussing on the testability, robustness and performance of production software, whilst adhering to industry standards and best practice. The role is responsible for working with the Yield Development Product Team and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all aspects of test automation and test framework implementation for the team. They will work closely with and provide oversight and guidance to the Product team business analyst, developers and delivery manager to deliver and help to define and deliver the Yield Management Solution road-map.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
> Work closely with the Product team and broader technology team providing consultancy and subject matter expertise on Test Automation, as well as being recognised as an expert to the broader easyJet Group on Test Automation practises.
> Accountable for the set-up, maintenance and performance of the solution through creation and management of test automation frameworks across multiple application frameworks, and cloud services, supporting the build and definition of test scenarios and acceptance tests.
> Accountable for the preparation and configuration of DevOps pipelines and testable environments to support the development team and deliver against functional and non-functional requirements.
> Collaborating with the Head of Development and peers in Group Architecture to identify and agree the technical standards, frameworks, tooling and patterns for the solution adhering to industry standards and best practice.
> Responsible for the identification, mitigation and resolution of technical risks within the solution, ensuring any risks or issues are clearly communicated and managed and covered through test automation where appropriate.
> Provide expertise to the rest of the Product development team on Test Automation techniques and perform technical code reviews ensuring consistency and conformity to agreed standards.
> Actively contribute during all agile ceremonies and the maturing of our dev-sec-ops capacities
> Provide technical leadership and support within the team, including mentoring, coaching and guiding more junior members of the QA team
> Keep up to date with knowledge of current software development trends and innovation in the IT industry that could be beneficial to EasyJet's strategy.
