Job Description Summary The Site Facilities Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Job Description Essential Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the overall maintenance of a combined cycle facility
  • Supervise the development and implementation of procedures and systems for plant personnel to maintain facility in safe, efficient and cost effective manner
  • Lead by example in all GE initiatives including EHS, HR, Six Sigma, Quality, and computerized maintenance management
  • Plan, coordinate and administer facility activities to meet owner's objectives and GE Corporate policies
  • Train, supervise and manage employees' activities and resources for maintenance and repair of all equipment following GE practices
  • Maintain availability on 24 hour per day call basis with backup from the facility staff
  • Responsible for maintenance scheduling, resolving issues, tracking work orders and advising on deployment of maintenance and contract personnel
  • Design and implement processes and systems in support of our TPM Program
  • Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships
  • Lead the Wilmington Aviation/Energy separation
  • Lead and provide oversight for the Southern Facilities contract


Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in a management position
  • At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Knowledge on equipment used to make complex rotating aviation parts
  • Six Sigma training is preferred
  • Knowledge of GE products and services
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Facilities, EHS, Security, and/or Maintenance leadership experience.


This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. GE will require proof of status prior to employment.
