Job Description
Essential responsibilities:
- You will carry accountability for optical engineering projects and responsibilities in design improvement and validation of optical systems and tools including continuous reevaluation of optical design and connected processes
- Statistical design of experiment planning, execution, and analyses
- Development, documentation, and training for Production/Service department in new optical designs/tools/processes
- Coordinating information exchange across platforms and disciplines (e.g., Software, Electronics, Design, QMM, ...)
- Work with Quality Team to measure and improve the component quality (Supplier, Outgoing, ...)
Qualifications / requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Technical knowledge and first years of work experience with optical systems and laser technology
- Relevant experience and industry knowledge in DMLM machines and their optical subsystems (e.g. Laser, Scanner...)
- Collaborative mind-set and pro-active working style
- Business fluent in German and English
Desired Characteristics
- Technical knowledge and experience with additive technology and/or parameter development
- Experience with handling of optics and handling of high-power lasers are a plus
- Programming or optics simulation skills are a plus
