Tasks

The tasks essentially include:

• Detailed software design
• Development of one or more components/modules & integration into the software architecture
• Collaboration in software development projects across multiple sites
• Module testing including test preparation & documentation of the developments made
• Integration into larger subsystems including testing
• Breakdown of work into work packages for individual developers & documentation of these
• Support in project planning (including estimates, definition of dependencies between work packages, order of execution)
• Creation of documentation & of guidelines based on the agreed standards
• Implementation of quality guidelines for architecture & programming

Requirements

In addition to a university degree with a focus on computer science, business informatics or mathematics or a comparable international degree, you bring the following:

• >5 years of experience as a software developer (m/f/divers) with service-oriented architectures

• Experience with classical & agile SW development processes (e.g. Scrum, Test Driven Development, Feature Driven Development).
• Very good knowledge of modern IT development environments & programming languages (Java, J2EE, Web Development, CAMEL 3) as well as modern cloud-based technologies like Kubernetes as well as experience with legacy systems (Unix/Linux)
• Experience with JBoss, Event Driven Architecture, No-SQL databases, Janus-Graph, Micro Services, OSGi desirable
• Ability to work in a team & intercultural competence
• High commitment & initiative, high resilience as well as flexibility
• Very good communication skills, ability to represent complex issues
• Very good analytical & conceptual thinking skills
• Very good written & spoken German & English skills
