TEAM
This role resides in our Network & Infrastructure Competency Centre where we deliver our core infrastructure capabilities to easyJet Airline Company Ltd and all subsidiaries. Specifically, as part of our "platform design" team, we onboard, standardise and build guardrails for new services to use with both DevOps delivery mechanisms. We are a tight knit team of professionals, working seamlessly with our colleagues across IT and business functions in a fast paced, competitive environment. JOB PURPOSE
The role with report to a lead platform engineer. As a senior platform engineer, you are an experienced technical role model, delivering the most difficult projects for a hybrid hosting environment and services whilst guiding and mentoring platform engineers. You will be working with Amazon Web Services predominantly whilst also having experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform; including management of a "private cloud" datacentre which we're looking to push more into public cloud right now. We will standardise easyJet's approach to consuming these services by testing and evaluating which technology to use through implementation of proof of concepts, documenting standards, implementing guardrails to ensure compliance, and working cross functionally with teams following a DevOps methodology.
