Job Description Summary The GE Terre Haute Lean Manufacturing Specialist will partner with the Business Unit Leader of the focused value stream to lead the value stream thru lean transformation. The approach will include completing Value Stream Analysis, selecting and facilitating Rapid Improvement Events, coaching and developing team members as required for Daily Management and lean tool development. All activities will be focused on improving the True North Metrics defined by the site.

Essential Responsibilities:

In addition, the Lead Lean Specialist will:

Guide Operations team through Lean journey, providing ongoing teaching and coaching of lean principles, theories, practices and drives ownership and adoption through the Operations team

Actively participate in Business Lean Transformation, including:

• Executive Leader Workshop
• Core Development Team Sessions
• Value Stream Analysis
• Mission Control
• Full Action Work Out schedule
• Gemba Walks

Provide leadership and guidance for hourly Lean Team members

Provide coaching to hourly Team Leaders on Operations team

Should be flexible to provide support to off-shift team as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (Or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Manufacturing)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, Operations and /or Training

Previous Experience with Lean Transformation & Tools
