Job Description
Essential Responsibilities :
The Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Staff Manager will own and drive quality for the entire Composites supply base. You and your team of quality engineers will select suppliers through qualification processes, own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards and own supplier audits. You will ensure compliance and drive improvement plans where needed.
In addition, there will be continued collaboration with Sourcing buyers and fulfillment leaders, design engineering, manufacturing engineering, and engine product line leaders to develop standard work around source change execution and NPI implementation using APQP methodologies.
This role also Includes both Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development
Supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence
SQEs have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors
Qualifications/Requirements :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering
Desired Characteristics :
Strong background in supplier quality and supplier management
Knowledge of implementing and using APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning)
Sub-commodity leadership experience
Experience managing quality teams
FAA/DCMA interface
Experience leading Aviation manufacturing teams
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
