Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide oversight and guidance to the Product engineers to establish effective factory support operating rhythms
- Lead the team in talent acquisition, talent management, training, mentoring, and coaching activities
- Generate and execute succession planning for key roles within the Product Engineering group
- Coordination and guidance between Product Engineering group and development teams during product development
- Ensure Design for Manufacture and Design for Test principles are applied during development projects
- Coordination and guidance between Product Engineering group and other factory support teams during production and in-service phases
- Leadership of high visibility/criticality safety and quality investigations
- Coordination for proposing and executing strategic life cycle product and test improvements
- Identify and support incorporation of manufacturing lessons learned into new designs
- Identify and execute factory improvement projects (lean, kaizen, etc.)
- Provides accurate and timely status reporting to Sustaining and Test, product area and factory leadership
- Responsible for adherence to GE processes and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 8 years of experience in Engineering or technical discipline.

Desired Characteristics
- Experience in electronics, electro-mechanical or test design and development
- Knowledge of processor-based electronics hardware and associated test and diagnostic techniques
- Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing/Design for Test principles
- Familiarity with electronics-based production manufacturing processes
- Stong oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
- Previous experience with lean tools and methods
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
