Tasks

In this role, your responsibilities and duties may include:
  • All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures.
  • An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental procedures.
  • Ability to read schematics and CMM's.
  • Liaison with associated departments.
  • Work to Production priority lists - ASPEN, Milestone dates as provided by Production Control.
  • AOG/On wing support if required.
  • You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record book.
  • You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualification and experience.
  • All duties being performed both on an individual basis and as part of a team.

*Other duties as directed by the Senior Team Leader or Team Leader.

Requirements

The ideal Electrician should meet the following requirements:
  • Aerospace apprenticeship desirable
  • Maths and English GCSE A-C Grades equivalent required
  • A Level or equivalent qualification in an electrical engineering subject desirable
  • Detailed knowledge of the legislative and quality system requirements
  • Extensive experience working in an aviation related environment
  • Shift work/overtime may be required
  • Working with computers and screens for prolonged periods
  • Sitting down for majority of working day
  • Workshop has fluctuating temperature dependent upon time of year and operations underway in other Production departments
  • Loud noises from machinery and other production department activity
  • Occasional heavy lifting required
