Manufacturing Engineer Internship

Job Description Summary The Manufacturing Engineer Intern has to provide Technical Guidance for the Shop Visits for the assigned product/programs.

He has to act as a Shop Floor Engineer in the CRO Operation area/program of responsibility and He has to relate with all other functions involved by collecting and transferring the technical information necessary to the development of the activities.

He has to to support the Industrialization Process of the Overhaul of an Accessory Drive Train System starting from existing Engine Shop Manual.

He has to demonstrates leadership in pursuing business goals and communicating programs, and processes for the respective CRO program. In this role He will utilize His ability to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for himself and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and support long-term business goals.

Job Description Essential Responsibilities

• 
  Define Work Scopes for Maintenance Shop visits on the basis of the Customer requests and applicable OEM Documentation
• Prepare and issue Preliminary and Final Technical Reports for Maintenance Events
• Support Investigation activities for in Service Failure following OEM instruction and prepare related Technical Report
• Issue Technical Disposition on the basis of the applicable OEM documentation
• Verify and plan effects of applicable Technical documentation on Shop Activities and on Equipment and Tooling facilities, evaluate costs and coordinate acquisition of needs.
• Prepare and Issue Technical Instruction in the form of Operation/Process Cards for new activities introduction or for their improvement
• Develop and maintain Manufacturing methods and create process routings on the basis of the Approved Data
• Support Commercial Dept. by preparing Cost Evaluation and Shop Readiness Planning for new Products Industrialization in the CRO Area
• Conduct cost/benefit analysis for changes to processes and/or equipment

Qualifications/Requirements

• 
  Engineering Master degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, from an accredited University, or Bachelor degree
• Good knowledge of English and Italian language
• EU work permit

  Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
• Ability to read and understand CRO / MRO Documentation
• Ability to manage priorities and achieve results
• Knowledge of NDT and Special Processes used in CRO / MRO activities
• Ability to elaborate basic Tooling Specification on the basis of the CRO / MRO processes to be implemented
• Ability to define Bill of Material of the Engine Modules starting from the applicable OEM Documentation (IPC, ESM, CMM, etc.)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Six Sigma training
