Payroll/Time & Attendance COE Leader

Additionally, the team is responsible for assisting in transactional pieces of an both salary and hourly employee's lifecycle in coordination with our HR Managers and Business Leaders. The COE team is a key partner to various groups to manage our time and attendance program and often act as a liaison to other HR Service Delivery COEs, Digital Technology teams, Corporate Pay and Benefit COEs, and Compliance/Labor Vouchering teams.
As the Payroll/Time & Attendance COE Leader, you will be responsible for leading the compliance, productivity and efficiency of the essential service and process delivery of payroll and time & attendance functions. You will provide strategic insight on continuous improvement solutions to evolve and enhance payroll and time & attendance processes and systems.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead a team, delivering work and ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately and in compliance with government regulations
- Provide insight on team strategy and continuous improvement solutions
- Guide internal clients to analyze the current state of the payroll and time & attendance processes, identify opportunities and pain points, and offer solution design options
- Advise on technology and process improvement solution options that can help enhance overall payroll and time & attendance function
- Manage over/under payment processes and partnership with HR and Union Relations / Employee Relations teams to ensure appropriate action
- Lead payroll/time and attendance activities for company restructuring or employee events
- Manage the relationship with Digital Technology and time and attendance application support focal's (AutoTime, SAP, SFC, MyTime, and Kronos); partner to provide feedback and direction on the time and attendance system road map and strategy
Qualifications/ Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university and a minimum of 5 years of experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience) in HR Function and/or Payroll/Time & Attendance area
- Willing to travel as needed up to 5%

- Experience with PeopleSoft/SAP/Workday
- Experience with US regulatory environment regarding Compensation, Wage & Hour and Payroll
- Clear and critical thinker, with the ability to translate strategies into action plans and align team priorities to businesses
- Willingness to deep dive into current time and attendance site practices and develop strategy and execute resulting in standardization of work across sites.
