Roles and Responsibilities
As the Finance Manager / Financial Controller for Arcam, you will:
• Be responsible for US GAAP financial statements, including oversight of systematic accounting processes and related account reconciliations
• Lead process teams on Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Intercompany & Cash among others.
• Lead the accounting cycles related to Arcam ' s legal entity and product line consolidation and reporting, including coordination with Finance IT, Aviation Headquarters and Arcam ' s extended operational accounting team in a shared service center
• Prepare and/or review manual journal entries in both the local and GE ledgers • Prepare and/or review account reconciliations and any necessary account analysis
• Ensure timely, accurate and complete upload of local ledger into GE ' s ledger each month
• Understand and interpret applicable GE General Accounting Procedures (GE GAPs), US GAAP, GE Enterprise Standards, GE Standard Operating Procedures and Process Maps to deliver timely, high quality financial reporting information
• Support the statutory and tax accounting teams, including the external audit firm and tax consulting firm, to ensure timely and accurate filing of statutory financial statements and tax documents
• Ensure integrity of financial reporting data via execution of controls • Work to continuously improve the timeliness and quality of Arcam ' s financial statement close
• Communication financial close related topics across a wide group of stakeholders within Arcam EBM, including engineering, project management, IT and other operational contacts
• Support Aviation and Additive Headquarter ' s Financial Reporting requests
• Support efforts to further centralize and simplify Arcam EBM ' s accounting and financial close processes
• Ensure accuracy of Additive ' s financial results by recognizing and preventing misrepresentation, concealment, or omission of information
• Lead a team of one direct report and extended (indirect) team of approximately five third party accountants; establish priorities for this team and oversee execution of work to implement those priorities
• Form close relationships with key stakeholders in Aviation Controllership, Finance and IT teams, as well as third party contractors
• Support of other corporate accounting and auditing processes, including Deloitte, Internal Audit, Statutory, etc. Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- This role requires advanced experience in the Finance & Operational. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
- 5 or more years of experience in accounting (technical and/or operational)
- Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to anticipate, communicate, report and resolve challenges
- Ability to work non-standard business hours during monthly and quarterly close
- Proven analytical and organizational ability
- Effective problem identification and solution skills
- Understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements
- Proficient in English and Swedish, verbal and written
Desired Characteristics
- CA, CPA and/or Master of Business Administration is preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of business operations
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional style, including both oral and written communication
