Job Description Summary Avio Aero is looking for a Sr Manager - Architecture to join our exciting and dynamic team of product, software & infrastructure experts. In this role you will be responsible for Hybrid Multi Cloud environment with high impact within the Avio Aero DISE (Data, Infrastructure and Software Engineering) organization, executing and delivering world class solutions in a standard and secure manner to support needs of the businesses in the domains related to Digital Technology

Job Description
Essential responsibilities

Own overall global architectures for Avio Aero digital infrastructure and platforms both on-premises and in cloud (AWS)
Enables enterprise architecture vision and strategy, and support enterprise-wide applications and business systems roadmap. Designs servers, storage, security, networks, virtualization/cloud, systems software, tools and governance to meet specified goals.
Manage capacity, velocity, and backlog across multiple Agile teams to ensure business priorities are met while minimizing or eliminating technical debt across assets
Research new technologies and industry best practices and shares with colleagues.
Align with cross-functional product owners to understand initiatives and implementations to translate complex and challenging requirements into demonstrable outcomes
Develop internal products and platforms to improve team velocity, such as standard work and CI/CD, process automation, quality assurance and testing and governance
Create a consistent communication rhythm on organization and operations status, keeping IT leadership, application owners and functional partners in synch with overall initiative outcomes, establishing a full wing to wing operational support model based on KPIs, driven through daily operating methods
Drive standards across teams to eliminate duplication and rework across the Avio Aero landscape
Plan and manage budgets related to scope of team
Communicate effectively both within immediate team and DT leadership.
Ensure team receives consistent messages and has clear understanding of business direction, strategy and results
Establish and foster a work culture at all levels that is positive, collaborative, diverse, inclusive, respectful, innovative, dynamic, with high integrity, and capable of driving positive change over sustained periods of time
Uses critical thinking skills and disciplined approaches to help leaders and leadership teams resolve issues and define solutions

Qualification/Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, IT or STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Strong professional experience in Architecture, Data & Analytics or related fields
Good Experience in architecting applications within AWS or Azure cloud ecosystems
Proven ability to proactively identify and remove obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
Ability to lead and run remote teams, potentially multicultural and on multiple time zones
Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
Strong analytical, project management, and organizational skills
Ability to decompose problems and make decisions when problems or solutions are not 100% defined
Positive, enthusiastic and confident attitude
Fluent in Italian and English

Desired Characteristics

Strong track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and / or industry activities
Knowledge of moderate to advanced AI/ML models and how to operationalize across varying scales of data (operational, big data, etc.)
Experience with infrastructure as code technologies whether native or 3rd party (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform)
Experience with virtual machine and container image lifecycle management
Demonstrated ability to establish operational performance metrics and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements for systems, processes, and resources
Demonstrated customer focus - evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer, builds strong customer relationships, and partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
Experience coaching, mentoring, and developing team members
