Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Additionally, as an Aircraft Electrical Integration engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Create current and future aircraft models with GE / partner engines and competitor engines including the electrical system
- Lead and execute mission analysis studies for current and future aircraft with GE and partners
- Lead and execute IP and trade studies on the interface between the aircraft electrical system and the propulsion system electrical system.
- Lead and execute economic analysis of current and future aircraft with GE and airframe partners
- Provide key results / conclusions to engineering, project, & marketing / sales peers & leadership
- Support GE product strategy / design development through assessment of potential future aircraft/engine performance capability and provide technical recommendations on electrical interface decisions
- Support GE / airframer engine and electrical system technical requirements development (thrust, offtakes, constraints, etc...)
- Support GE / partner engine design & optimization through aircraft/engine performance assessments
- Provide aircraft / engine and electrical system integration and optimization support
- Interact effectively with airframer contacts regarding integration, performance, and economic issues
- Mentor and drive teams to adhere to best practices and processes and identify and improve processes
- Share lessons learned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical, Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering position at an airframer doing electrical systems modeling
