As Sales Director you will lead the functional area of sales for GE Additive in Northern Germany, convert leads & opportunities to orders, build relationships, develop key account plans & strategy, grow pipeline funnel, and drive change for commercial growth & success. This position reports to the Sales Director, Germany and Austria, for GE Additive. Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall guidance and day-to-day management of the GE Additive sales in the respective territory or accounts assigned.
- Solicit new business, maintain and penetrate existing business to drive growth and income, and be responsible for developing and maintaining partnerships within GE Additive and with external stakeholders
- Execute assigned operating plan and targets to guarantee that the business wins profitable sales through Technical Sales and positioning on Value Propositions.
- Meet or exceed operational requirements: systematic reporting, operating reviews, and cost-effectiveness initiatives
- Provide leadership for sales to assigned segments and customers through the formulation and execution of strategies and plans that capitalize on the customer's strengths as supplemented by GE Additive's products and services
- Build customer relationships with the assigned customers for sales
- Lead sales activities and work closely with the Product Line and Engineering functions to pursue and win opportunities
- Coordinate activities and provide leadership to establish sales strategies including obtaining appropriate approvals for pricing and delivery
- Build customer relationships with key stakeholders and participate in negotiations as needed to close deals
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or Science with relevant sales experience in highly technical capital equipment with short to medium sales cycle.
- Sales, marketing, and business development experience
- Experience with sales planning and forecasting
- Willingness to travel
- Preferably based in Northern Germany or willing to relocate
- Fluent in English and German, both spoken and written
