Job Description
GE Aviation (GEA) is a world leader in providing aircraft engines, systems, and avionics. The installed base of commercial aircraft engines from GEA and its partners has grown significantly over the past two decades. Today's aircraft engines, equipped with sensors, have the ability to generate considerable quantities of data as they fly. Come join our Flight Data team where we are building a next gen analytics ecosystem to handle this data consisting of products called RUDR Data Parser, SOAR, LDP & FMX .These products work together to gather real-time engine performance data, run rapid engine diagnostics & make maintenance recommendations often before a plane takes off.
Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure
• Work with Technical Product Managers (TPMs) to understand product requirements & vision
• Work with a prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards
• Work with TPMs and architects to develop multi generation software technology plans
• Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse
• Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities
• Work cross functionally with other business departments to align activities and deliverables
• Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products
• Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures, unit testing and implementation.
• Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
• Proactively share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

• Comfortable building features such as web services and queries on existing tables
• Experience working on agile teams
• Full stack development experience
• Experience with Java Spring Boot, Vue.js and AWS services
• Experience working on data intensive software solutions
